フィリピンのボクシングの英雄マニー・パッキャオの試合の時にいろんなテンポで唄うので、2010年にフィリピン国会でも問題になり、全会一致で原曲に忠実なテンポを詳細に規定し、違反者は懲役2年、罰金10万ペソが賦課されるようになった。マニー・パッキャオも国会議員とプロボクサーであり、一票投じたそうだ。
